Protocol
All reports begin through the online reporting system or through phone calls received by Student Assistance and Support Services, a function of the Dean of Students Office, or other relevant offices. These reports include biographical information about the student, information about the reporting individual, and a description of the observed behavior.
The NinerCare team meets weekly to review the information received via reports. The team assesses the information and objectively decides on the best plan of action. The goal is to assist the student and protect the University community. These plans may include Care and Concern meetings, interventions, referrals to University or community resources, and/or referrals to the student conduct process or the involuntary protective withdrawal process.
At subsequent meetings, team members provide follow-up information so that the student’s progress can be monitored, tracked, and evaluated.
